Fantasy Football Mock Draft: Kenneth Walker Leads Off Heavy-RB Build

Mock drafts make the world go around in the fantasy football industry this time of year. Scratch that, the analysis for those mock drafts is what keeps fantasy football managers entertained and informed as they prepare to do battle in their leagues.

We’ll go round by round until the starting roster is filled after Pick 11. Then there will be a quick look at the roster. The settings are 0.5 PPR, 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 FLX, 8 bench spots. Freedman picked out of the 1.11 spot.

Fantasy Football Mock Draft From Pick 1.11

Round 1

Kenneth Walker going before Jonathan Taylor and Saquon Barkley shows how far he’s come. Did you know K-9 made Matthew Berry’s Love list?

Round 2

Malik Nabers: No worries about his recovery from his torn ACL last season. Freedman took him above Nico Collins and Drake London.

Round 3

Zay Flowers: Taking Lamar Jackson’s top target took precedent over Ladd McConkey, who figures to be Justin Herbert’s top target.

Round 4

Travis Etienne: The Alvin Kamara injury figures to boost Etienne’s early usage, which could pay off with some boom games in the opening portion of the season.

Round 5

Jadarian Price: Never a bad time to lock down the RB on a reigning Super Bowl champion, even if that RB was preparing for the combine instead of actually playing in the game.

Round 6

Bhayshul Tuten: Could he be the breakout RB for this season? Very possible, and this is turning into an inadvertent Robust RB build with four through six rounds.

Round 7

De'Zhaun Stribling: Now time for a potential breakout rookie WR. He’ll start our as the WR3 on this squad.

Round 8

Jayden Reed: This could be a major bargain if he gets more than the 84 targets he’s projected to receive. He could start over Stribling if the rookie has growing pains.

Rounds 9-11

MarShawn Lloyd, Isaiah Likely, Malik Willis: These three were grouped because they included the starting TE (Likely) and QB (Willis). Few take the late-round approach at both positions, and it’s interesting to see how loaded this team turned out after employing what looked like a Hero-RB approach in the first three rounds. Willis is the wild card, if he puts up a QB1 finish. Likely becoming the No. 2 target for the Giants would be a boon.
